Terms of use.
Short version: MergenKit produces scientific predictions and documentation as inputs to your decisions. Regulatory and clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the user organisation.
What MergenKit is
MergenKit is a scientific computing platform. It supports drug discovery research by producing predictions, interpretations, and reports for structure-activity and structure-property relationships. The platform aims to be useful, rigorous, and transparent. It is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Scientific predictions are advisory
Predictions produced by the platform are inputs to your scientific judgement. They are not statements of biological truth, regulatory clearance, or clinical safety. Applicability domain analysis indicates whether a given prediction lies within the chemical space the model was trained on; predictions outside that domain require additional confirmatory work.
The reporting layer produces records compatible with documentation frameworks used in regulated assessments, including QMRF and QPRF structures aligning with the requirements of frameworks like ICH M7 and REACH. The platform does not act as a regulatory authority and does not perform regulatory assessment. Regulatory and clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the user organisation.
Your data
You retain ownership of the molecular structures and target data you provide. The platform does not claim rights over your scientific data. Use of your data is governed by your demo agreement or service agreement; in the absence of a written agreement, we treat your data as confidential and do not use it for any purpose other than running the workflow you requested.
Acceptable use
The platform is intended for legitimate scientific research in drug discovery and related fields. Use to develop or evaluate substances intended for unlawful purposes is not permitted.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform and its founder are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform or reliance on its outputs.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Material changes will be communicated to active users in advance. Continued use of the platform after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the platform operator is established. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that location.
